Plot of Story

Beginning with the introduction of Preventer agent Kathy Po, the beginning of the story fills in vital details regarding the events in After Colony leading up to the events of the series, including the origins and backgrounds of OZ Leader Treize Khushrenada and Gundam pilot Heero Yuy. The Early After Colony Mars Century Begins In the new era of Mars Century (MC), Kathy Po meets a Father Maxwell and his son, Duo. She hands a data chip from ESUN President Dorothy Catalonia containing 3 segments over to her superior officer Master Chang, who uses the data in order to awaken the "Aurora Princess" from cryogenic sleep and set forth the motions for "Operation Mythos". Meanwhile, we learn of the history of the young Mars Federation and its government, and the trouble brewing within it with the assassination of its President, "Milliardo Peacecraft". His assassin, a boy with no name, is detained by a "Doktor T" and "Instructor W" and trained along with the Instructor's younger sister, Katherine Oud Winner, with the two young pilots forming a close bond. However, when Katherine defects from the group, she is intercepted by Heero Yuy and Duo Maxwell only to reveal that she is defecting to their enemy- the new leader of the Mars Federation, Relena Peacecraft.

New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Frozen Teardrop (新機動戦記ガンダムW Frozen Teardrop Shin Kidō Senki Gundam W Frozen Teardrop?) is a novel that takes place approximately 20-30 years after the events of the New Mobile Report Gundam Wing television series and Endless Waltz OVA and movie in the new "Mars Century" or "MC" era. The novel, written by Gundam Wing head writer Katsuyuki Sumisawa, began serialization in Gundam Ace in August of 2010. The first two collected tankobon volumes were released in February of 2011, as well as a Drama CD featuring Hikaru Midorikawa and Seki Toshihiko packaged with that month's Gundam Ace.

XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero Custom

Wing Gundam Zero Ver. EW, also known as Wing Gundam Zero Custom (or simply Wing Zero Custom for short), was Hajime Katoki's redesigned version of the Wing Gundam Zero. The version of Wing Zero that appears in Endless Waltz differs from the one seen in the series mainly in appearance, but there are notable feature differences. It loses the piledriver shield and, subsequently, the Neo-Bird Mode of the television version, but instead sports four angelic wings lined with many thrusters. The large main wings can double as shields in combat and serve as heat shields for atmospheric re-entry, while the straight sub-wings provide constant thrust and house the beam sabers. Additionally, the forearms mount complex sensor arrays, giving the twin buster rifle unprecedented accuracy. This OVA version features a Zero Frame, which is the final layer of armor available to the Wing Zero. The wings on the Wing Zero Custom are highly important as if any one of them were destroyed, the speed of the Wing Zero Custom would be greatly reduced. The wings also contribute to the AMBAC of the Wing Zero Custom.

XXXG-01D2 Gundam Deathscythe Hell

Deathscythe Hell's primary weapon is a beam scythe much like its predecessor. However the new beam scythe has been upgraded from the original by adding a second beam scythe blade and a small rocket engine on the end. The second beam scythe gives the weapon a slightly greater reach while the rocket engine increases the power of the swing allowing Deathscythe Hell to cut through multiple enemy units with ease.
The Deathscythe Hell's secondary weapon is a Buster Shield on the left arm which can launch from said arm to be used as a projectile weapon. The shield has two large metal blades that open just before launch to reveal a beam blade emitter beneath.
Finally to round out its selection of weapons Deathscythe Hell is equipped with a pair of head mounted Vulcan cannons, but these weapons are rarely used.
In combat Duo Maxwell uses the same fighting style piloting Deathscythe Hell as he did the original, however there is one significant difference. Duo seems in some cases less concerned about dodging enemy attacks. This is probably because Deathscythe Hell is equipped with a set of very durable shoulder shields which are strong enough to block multiple attacks from the beam cannons utilized by the Virgo mobile dolls.

XXXG-01H2 Gundam Heavyarms Kai

It instead sports a dark blue and white theme. It can be presumed to be more powerful , as with the other four Gundams that were featured . However, the armaments were slightly tweaked . The Heavyarms Kai now lacks melee weapons, as even the army knife was removed. However, with the removal of the army knife, the Heavyarms now mounts an extra double-barrel beam gatling, resulting in an extreme amount of firepower.

XXXG-01SR2 Gundam Sandrock Kai

 An upgrade over the original Sandrock to make it capable of combat in space. Extra verniers were added to the shoulder armor, back skirt, backpack, and legs to increase mobility, and a beam machine gun was added in case the Sandrock Kai needed to engage in ranged combat.

And possibly has higher performance t, as with the other four Gundams. Minor cosmetic changes were made, however, the weapons that are used remain the same. Any upgrades made to the weapons are unknown. The armor was also improved

XXXG-01S2 Altron Gundam

Hajime Katoki's redesigned version of Altron. Like the original, it was upgraded after Shenlong was destroyed and secretly rebuilt by the Gundam scientist at a OZ MS facility. Its history remains consistent with the TV series, but Altron's combat capabilities have been changed, mostly with its Dragon Fangs.
Just like the original, the Dragon Fangs were upgraded from a single extendible claw into a pair. The Dragon Fangs are connected to the forearms and not part of the entire MS arm. Should the Dragon Fangs become damaged or destroyed in combat, Altron's MS arms remain intact for combat. The fangs' sides have four small wings to control movement when launched. When stationary, the Dragon Fangs can be used as a defense shield and the forward mandibles can be used to puncture through enemy targets. The greatest difference is that these versions can stretch about 3-4 times its arm length, longer than its counter-part is capable of. For unexplained reasons, there are no built-in flame throwers.
Among other things not present are Altrons' shield, the wing stabilizers and the Scorpion Tail beam cannon. The only things it does have are its head Vulcans, Twin Beam Trident, and a parachute for atmospheric entry. It also has sleeker armor, suggesting higher agility. Overall, the unit is designed heavily as a melee-type combat unit, more so than its alternate version. The counterpart had short-to-mid-range combat capabilities because it was given particle guns, but this one is comparably lesser in armaments than its counterpart; it's still a highly formidable unit with Wufei at the helm.

Heero Yuy (ヒイロ・ユイ, Hiiro Yui, spelled Hiiro Yui in the original Japanese version) [EZ, W, BT, BP, EW, FT]

(Nationality: Japanese) Heero is the main protagonist of Gundam Wing, as well as the pilot of the XXXG-01W Wing Gundam and the XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam ZERO. During the series, very little of his past is revealed, although according to the manga Episode Zero, Heero was once a nameless protégé of the assassin Odin Lowe until Odin's death during a failed mission. Shortly thereafter, the nameless boy was taken in by Doctor J and trained as a Gundam pilot. On the onset of Operation Meteor, Doctor J gave him the code name of Heero Yuy, after the martyred leader of the colonies. Although he speaks in a monotone voice and appears cold, reckless and emotionless, according to Doctor J, Heero is actually a very kind-hearted young man who feels sympathy for the oppressed space colony citizens. In the manga version of Endless Waltz, at the end of the battle, he was shown watching over Relena. Heero Yuy is voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa in Japanese and Mark Hildreth in English.

Duo Maxwell (デュオ・マックスウェル,, Dyuo Makkusuweru) [EZ, W, SY, BT, BP, EW, FT]

(Nationality: American) Duo is the pilot of the XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe and the XXXG-01D2 Gundam Deathscythe Hell. Duo is cheerful, amicable and goofy, but this is mostly a front to cover up his tragic past. In Episode Zero, it was revealed that he chose his name to commemorate a boy named Solo, who he looked up to when they were part of a street gang as children; Solo had previously told the young Duo that they would always be together, but later died from a disease that swept the colony. Duo's last name came from the Maxwell Church; the church was a home for war orphans, and was run by Father Maxwell and Sister Helen, a Catholic priest and nun. Duo lived in the church until it was destroyed during an Alliance attack in what became known as the "Maxwell Church Massacre"; Duo was the only survivor, because he had gone to steal a mobile suit from a nearby military base in order to get a group of Colony rebels, who were hiding in the church, to leave the church alone. Some physical reminders of Duo's lost loved ones are his distinctive 3-foot braid (a reminder of how Sister Helen carefully braided his long hair as a child) and priest's clothes. Because of all the destruction in his past, he refers to himself as Shinigami, the "God of Death" ("Great Destroyer" in the edited English dub), because anyone who gets close to him eventually dies (and, as he once told Father Maxwell, he doesn't believe in miracles, but he has seen many dead people). Duo later became a member of the Sweeper Group, and an engineer and hacker of great skill (as well as a Gundam pilot), after meeting Professor G. Duo Maxwell is voiced by Toshihiko Seki in Japanese and Scott McNeil in English

 

Trowa Barton (トロワ・バートン,, Torowa Bāton^?) [EZ, W, BT, BP, EW]

(Nationality: unknown, presumed Latin) Trowa is the pilot of the XXXG-01H Gundam Heavyarms; a young man of indeterminate origin (some official sources say Latin, others Eastern European, others still Russian, and one unofficial source says he's British), also known as "Nanashi" (名なし, "No-Name"). His age is maintained by some sources as 15, but his physical appearance suggests that 17 or 18 would be a more appropriate number. Trowa is a stoic young man who has spent almost his entire life on the battlefield. Reserved by nature, he can be seen to be as emotionless as Heero, but is in fact a warm-hearted person who is very protective of those he cares about. Trowa took the name of Trowa Barton after the real Trowa (the son of Dekim Barton) was shot and killed by the assistant of Doktor S, who created the Gundam Heavyarms but was unwilling to proceed with Operation Meteor. Besides being a Gundam pilot, Trowa is also an accomplished acrobat, which serves him well in his cover identity as a clown in a travelling circus. Trowa is assumed to be circus performer Catherine Bloom's long-lost brother Triton, who was believed to have died years ago as an infant. There is only a little evidence of this: in the Episode Zero manga, the baby shown being thrown from the cart's wreckage in the bombing that killed Catherine's family has Trowa's trademark bangs, and according to official sources, Trowa has "a burn scar on his back that he didn't get in battle", but if the names of the pilots do relate to numbers, it would seem more likely that this was true. Trowa Barton is voiced by Shigeru Nakahara in Japanese and Kirby Morrow in English

Quatre Raberba Winner (カトル・ラバーバ・ウィナー,, Katoru Rabāba Winā^?) [EZ, W, BT, BP, EW]

(Nationality: Arabic) Quatre is the pilot of the XXXG-01SR Gundam Sandrock and the heir to the Winner Corporation, a major space mining company. He is a very kind young man who loves animals, and is the greatest believer in pacifism of the five Gundam pilots. He has twenty-nine older sisters, who are all test tube babies; according to the Episode Zero manga, the numerous problems experienced in natural pregnancy during the colonists' first arrival in space created the need for test-tube babies until a cure was developed. Everyone was then able to produce children naturally—except for the Winner family, due to their living in space since the colonies' creation. Quatre's mother desperately wanted to bear at least one child naturally, and so she did—though it cost her life. Quatre was never informed that he was the only child who was born naturally, and thus had a cold, angry demeanor for a long time (due to feeling that he and his sisters were just pawns created by his father to benefit the Corporation, and that they could all be replaced at any time). Quatre is a natural leader. Toward the end of the series, Heero turns leadership of the Gundams over to Quatre. Quatre also leads a group of middle-eastern fighters known as the Maganac Corps, who are all test-tube babies themselves. The Maganacs have accepted Quatre as their leader; in Episode Zero, Quatre saved their leader Rashid's life when Quatre flushed out a traitor within the Maganac ranks. Quatre was given his goggles by Rashid as a symbol of the leader of the Maganacs. The Maganacs also taught Quatre to have pride in himself, no matter where he came from, and the young man's kind, gentle nature arose from that understanding. Despite being a pacifist, Quatre sees the Gundams as a necessary evil, which has strained his relationship with his father, who followed the path of absolute pacifism prior to his death. Although Newtypes are not referenced in the Gundam Wing universe, Quatre seems to sense the "Heart of Space" (or "Soul of Outer Space"), as Amuro Ray was able to. Quatre Raberba Winner is voiced by Ai Orikasa in Japanese and Brad Swaile in English., who also voiced Amuro in Mobile Suit Gundam.

Chang Wufei (張 五飛,, Chan Ūfei^?, Hanyu Pinyin: Zhāng Wǔfēi, Zhang Wufei in the original Japanese version) [EZ, W, BT, BP, EW, FT]

(Nationality: Chinese) Wufei is the pilot of the XXXG-01S Shenlong Gundam and the XXXG-01S2 Altron Gundam. He constantly refers to both incarnations of his Gundam as "Nataku", a deity whom his late wife Meilan modelled herself after. Wufei is a fierce warrior descended from a long, proud line of Chinese warriors, and thus despises weakness in character and body. As evidenced in Episode Zero, when he was younger he was calmer and much more cerebral, but his unwillingness to fight resulted in the death of his wife Meilan, a strong girl who took the responsibility of protecting the colony (and the newly built Shenlong Gundam) onto herself and was killed in battle. Wufei then chose to carry out her path of justice in honor of her sacrifice. Wufei looks down on those who he deems weak and cowardly. Although Wufei preferred to fight alone, he eventually realized that he needed to team up with the other Gundam pilots to accomplish his goals.
